ARK: Survival Evolved

Being stranded naked on the shore of a mysterious island called ARK, freezing and starving, you will have to hunt, collect resources, create items, grow crops, explore technologies and build shelters to withstand the weather conditions. Use your cunning and resources to kill or tame and breed huge dinosaurs and other primeval creatures that inhabit the island, and team up with hundreds of other players or hunt them to survive, dominate... and overcome difficulties!

The following features are present in the game from the first day of launch in early access. In the long-term development of the game, we have planned a lot more features and improvements, and that's what is already available to you right now in ARK: 

TAME, TRAIN, BREED AND RIDE DINOSAURS IN A LIVING ECOSYSTEM

Dinosaurs, other creatures and their breeding! – more than 50 creatures in early access and 100+ for the final release – can be tamed using a complex system of capture and attachment, including weakening the untamed beast to full stun and then caring for him with feeding appropriate food. After taming, you will be able to give commands to your pet, the implementation of which will depend on how well you have tamed and trained. Pets that will grow in level will need food, they can carry things and equipment, such as armor, can carry prey back to your settlement depending on their strength, and larger animals can be ridden and directly controlled! Fly a pterodactyl over snow-capped mountains, throw allies over enemy walls, race through the jungle with your pack of raptors, break into an enemy base on a giant Brontosaurus, or chase prey while sitting on the back of a furious T-Rex! Become part of the life cycle of a dynamic ecosystem with its own food chain, where you are just one link among many species of creatures fighting for dominance and survival. Pets can also be bred by mating with the opposite sex, conducting a sequential selection using a system of traits based on recombinant genetic inheritance. This process includes both the incubation of eggs and the development of pregnancy in mammals! Or, simply put, breed and raise baby dinosaurs and other creatures! 

FOOD, WATER, TEMPERATURE AND WEATHER

You must eat and drink to survive, using different types of plants and meat, including human, having different nutritional properties. An urgent problem is also the provision of fresh water to your home and its stock in the inventory. All physical actions consume the parameters of food and water, so long-distance travel is associated with a threat to survival! The load of inventory makes you move more slowly, and the cycle of day and night together with capricious weather conditions throw another challenge through fluctuations in ambient temperature, resulting in your hunger or thirst increases. Light fires or build shelters, make a variety of clothing and armor with a changeable appearance to protect yourself from physical damage and extreme temperatures, using a dynamic system of calculating the resistance to heat and cold, both indoors and outside! 

COLLECTING RESOURCES, ERECTING BUILDINGS AND PAINTING ITEMS

By cutting down a forest teeming with trees and mining for metal and other valuable resources, you can make various elements for the construction of massive multi-level buildings consisting of complex connected parts, including ramps, bridges, columns, Windows, doors, hatches, gates with remote control, water pipes and taps, generators, wires and all kinds of electrical devices, stairs and much more. Many buildings and items can be painted to diversify the appearance of your home, and you can also add pixel-by-pixel colorable signs, billboards with text and other decorative objects. Shelter reduces the impact of extreme weather conditions and provides safety for you and your prey! Weapons, clothing, and armor can also be colored to emphasize your image. 

PLANT, GROW AND HARVEST

Pick up the seeds of the wild vegetation around you, plant them in the placed beds, water and feed them with fertilizers (after digesting food, all poop, these feces can then be composted, and some fertilizers are better than others). Take care of your crops and they will grow, producing delicious and rare fruits, which can then be used to prepare a variety of thoughtful recipes and create useful tonics! Explore and search for rare plant seeds that have the most powerful effects! With this opportunity to master and conquer the ARK in a non-violent way, vegetarians and vegans can thrive! 

SUMMON THE HIGHER FORMS OF LIFE

Using a sufficient number of rare sacrificial items in special summoning locations, you will be able to attract the attention of one of the mythical godlike creatures ARK'a, which will arrive for the battle. Only the most experienced players with their armies of Pets will be able to defeat these monsters and get valuable items to advance through the final goals of the game. 

THE SYSTEM OF TRIBES

Create a tribe and add your friends to it, and all your Pets will be able to manage and become allies for any of your tribe. Your tribe will also have access to rebirth at any of the home rebirth points. Promote members of the tribe to administrators to reduce the burden of government. Distribute items and PIN codes to ensure access to shared settlements! 

ROLE-PLAYING

All items are created from drawings that have different characteristics and qualities, and require appropriate resources. More remote and harsh locations ARK, as a rule, tend to have the best resources, including the highest mountains, dark caves and the depths of the ocean! Level up your game character by gaining experience for performing actions, level up your Pets, and learn new engrams to be able to create items from memory without using blueprints, even after death! Customize the physical appearance of your character by changing the color of hair and eyes, skin tone, along with many modifiers of body proportions. 

HARDCORE MECHANICS

Everything you make has durability and wears out during long-term use unless it is repaired, and when you exit the game, your character remains "asleep" in the game world. Your items that are in boxes or with your character can be looted and stolen, so to achieve security, you must strengthen, recruit a team or have Pets to protect your prey. Death is irreversible and means the loss of everything, and you can even stun, capture, and force-feed other players using them for your own purposes, such as extracting blood for transfusions, collecting their feces for use as fertilizer, or using slaves as food for carnivorous Pets! 

EXPLORE AND DISCOVER

Mysterious ARK-a formidable and impressive environment consisting of many natural and artificial objects placed on the ground, under the ground and under water. Exploring its secrets, you will find the most exotic procedurally generated creatures and rare drawings. You can also find Explorer notes that are dynamically updated in the game and were written over the millennia by previous human inhabitants of ARK, who creatively described the creatures, as well as the prehistory of ARK and its animal world. Fully fill your in-game map with exploration, mark interesting places on it, and use your compass or GPS to meet other players with whom you can communicate via local text and voice chat or long-distance radio. Build and paint the signs in order to help you to find or to mislead other players... And more... how will you ultimately be able to challenge the Creators and conquer the ARK? A certain end of the game is already planned. 

THE GREAT PRESERVED WORLD AND THE META-UNIVERSE

On servers with a number of players of about 100 people, your character, your buildings and your Pets remain in the game world, even if you are out of the game. You can transfer your character and items between ARK servers using obelisk terminals to upload (or upload) your data from Steam! A whole galaxy of worlds, each of which is slightly different from the previous ones – so that you can leave your mark and conquer them one by one. Special themed events will be held in ARK for a limited time with relevant valuable items! 

RELIABLE SUPPORT FOR STEAM WORKSHOP MODS

You can play a single player game and move your character and items between unofficial player servers - back and forth. Modify the game - fully supported Steam workshop and customizable unreal Engine 4 editor. See how we created our ARK, use our maps and materials as an example. NEXT-GENERATION HIGH-END VISUAL EFFECTS

The incredible super-realistic image of the creatures of the ARK world is brought to life using the finely tuned Unreal Engine 4, with fully dynamic shading and global lighting, weather system (rain, fog, snow, etc.), realistic three-dimensional modeling of clouds, the latest advanced visualization methods DirectX11 and DirectX12. All this is complemented by music from the acclaimed composer of the game "Ori and the Blind Forest", Gareth Cocker!
